Paris, France - June 23rd

Today, we started off the day by taking the subway to the Museum of Evolution. When we got there we walked through the “Garden of Plants”, which had more varieties of plants than I could count. At the end of the garden, we reached the museum which was crawling with about every elementary school class in France. Upon entering, the five of us were confronted by two massive skeletons of whales. The museum’s first and second floors were dedicated to natural history so they had plenty of stuff African animals and underwater creatures. On the third and fourth, however, Dad and I looked at climate change over the last 10,000 years. Apparently Virginia is a good place to be judging by the course of climate change. We then walked through the extinct and endangered exhibit which had remnants of dodo birds. Dad was very saddened to see the turtles and wallabies that had become extinct. He’s hoping a plague will come along to cut down the human population to make room for the animals. We spent a few hours looking around the other exhibits then went back to the main street to get some lunch. We found a really good place outside where we could people watch. The next stop of the day was the second-hand market. On the way there, Geoffrey and Mom bought our train tickets to Heidelberg. When we reached the market, it appeared as if we had reached it only an hour or so after the venders had packed up their wares. Most of us did not care very much as there was a ton of garbage left over that street sweepers were cleaning up so we assumed it was a pretty dirty place. Next we took the subway uptown to MontMartie to see Sacre-caur. From the metro we had to climb many sets of stairs up to the top of the hill where the chapel sat. At the top was a soccer player who entertained a large crowd with various juggling tricks. Sacre-caur was even more impressive than Notre Dame, but unfortunately we could not take pictures inside. Back outside the chapel we took in the scenic view over Paris before making our way back down to the streets. The shops below were filled with tourist souvenirs, and I picked up a France shirt, Mom got herself a night cat shirt, Geoffrey a sex-position die, and Wade a soccer ball. A few blocks down the road we came across a shoe store where Geoffrey and I got sexy new Pumas and Mom got herself some Reebok hightops straight out of the 90s. Farther down the street we found the risqué district of Paris where the Moulin Rouge attracted an interesting crowd of people. There were many sex shops along the road, and we saw a nice apron in a window with a dick on it that would be suitable for Andy. This concluded our adventure for the day. We made our way back towards our side of town and relaxed the rest of the day.
