Milan, Italy – July 7^th

This morning I didn’t even bother trying to wake up for breakfast. Instead I got ready last minute and picked up a box juice from the super market on my way to class. There, we learned about Italian media which is totally fucked. The newspapers are funded with public money and yet they still have to buy them. Some of this public money is also used to fund the communist paper here. The government has a public monopoly over most of the television news and it turns out most politicians have a criminal record. It was a very eye-opening class and by the time it was over I was really glad to not be living here.

After class I returned to the dorm to get some sleep cause I was tired as hell. At two we watched an Italian comedy which had a great soundtrack and was once again in black and white with subtitles. When the movie was over, Gary and I played ping pong for about an hour and then came back to the room so that I could finally catch up on the blogging I have been putting off. Now it is all finally caught up and I am going out to get some dinner. Tonight I will probably be spending making plans for this weekend and going to bed early.
